As the snow settles from the colossal bomb cyclone storm, our little store is feeling like a real-life snow globe. As the street transforms into a white wonderland, it seems like this season snuck up on us. After a mild beginning, winter has officially hit in full force with sub-zero temperatures and snow piled high, it’s time to bundle up in true Vermont style!
Cuddled up in cable knits and cashmere on dark snowy nights, we see it reflected in the color themes of the season.Deep midnight blues, moonlit whites, shimmering silver greys, and even some hints of the 2018 color trend to come; ultra violet. This cool-toned pallet may be one of our favorites, as it makes pairing with different denim washes a dream.
Given the arctic temperatures of the moment, layering is a must. Thankfully, the return of the straight leg in denim is here to help. With a more modern cut featuring a high-rise and tapered leg, these are definitley not your mother’s 90’s jeans! Perfect for layering over thermals, and it’s nice to have a little diversity in the denim department. All these styles offer their own little unique detail such as gusset-seams from Amo, distressing from BlankNYC or a double released hem from Hudson
Textural trends of the season have been all about luxury. From sparkling metallics, romantic velvets and plush faux-fur- there seems to be an Ice Queen theme. So Vermont girls- embrace your snowy status and rock your look!
Although we know there are still icy months ahead, we look forward to all that 2018 has in store for our little boutique. Stayed tuned on Facebook and Instagram for upcoming events and mark your March calendar for the return of Mother of All Sales!
